Happy Birthdays
First birthdays are always a treat! Many children love the attention and parents have fun creating just the perfect atmosphere to celebrate this special day. Whether you are putting together a huge 1st birthday bash, or you are keeping it low key, anyway you choose to celebrate your child’s 1st birthday is a very special occasion.
Both of my children are celebrating their birthdays in the month of August; Josie is turing 2, and Rob is turing 1. We are planning on having a small party with friends (as our families are out of state) to celebrate both birthdays.
Both birthdays are occasion to celebrate … children grow up so quickly and sometimes in the day to day humdrum we can forget to focus on the ”right now” & before we know it our children have hit yet another milestone!!
As you begin to plan your young child’s birthday keep a few things in mind:
- Large crowds can be overwhelming for a young child - so plan your party at a time when they are well rested
- If you are serving food stick to easy foods that are kid friendly - especially if you plan on inviting other children
- Designate someone to take photos - this way you are able to enjoy the party with your child
