Give A Child A Box
… and watch their imaginations run wild.
Large boxes, small boxes.
Food boxes, & shoe boxes.
To a child it doesn’t matter. The box is an empty canvas on which they can color, paint, cut or just sit inside of.
It was a rainy day last week, I took the cereal boxes out of the recycle. Taking old newspaper & plastic grocery bags - I stuffed them & taped them back together.
My four year old and my three year old have played:
restaurant
grocery shopping
building blocks
art - using paint, crayons & scissors
The next time you’re looking for a rainy day project or simply something ”new” to do, take a look inside your recycle bin!
HAPPY PLAYING!
